Introduction

Dogs, unlike humans, cannot tell you what wrong, when they are not feeling well. Your dogs health is important not only to him but to your whole family, as many of the conditions which cause him discomfort can be injurious to human health as well.

Dog now more than you think. An uncanny ability to read peoples intensions. Dog can lean to hit elevator buttons, turn lights on and off, pickup any thing that is dropped, even get food out of the refrigerator.

What interesting is what happens to your relationship with a dog as the training progress “sit, come, stay, stand, roll, heel, saloot, down etc. don’t mean the formal moments…

What they mean is you and I stand no in a certain relationship to the rest of the word. We consult each other things that come up.”

To the question of what dogs know is inspiring wealth of research that is extending into large metaphysical questions of what “thinking” really means researchers are finding not only that dogs are smarter than once believed but that they have much to teach humans to.

Dogs bring many pleasers and moments of pride but it also carries responsibilities which can not be neglected, is to remain is good health, meals at certain times, regular exercise, frequent brushing and grooming.

Puppies and dogs are keen to learn and to pleased their owners, who can make there own and their dogs live happy, by treating them with understanding tempered with firmness.

Puppy’s first night

The first night in a new home can be lonely and frightening for a puppy. It has lost its mother, brothers and sisters and is in a new place, full of strange smell and faces.

For both your sake, it is necessary to reassule the puppy by giving it as much company as you can and making it as comfortable as possible.

Keep the pup warm and give it good food warm milk.

A hot water bottle placed amongst the bedding will soothe the pup and give it something warm to nestle into .also place a tickling clock amongst the bedding to quickly quieted a crying pup .find out what the previous owner has been feeding the puppy so you can keep up a consistent diet.

Housing

Delicate pet dog should be kept warm in a wicker basket and protected if necessary in a cold weather with coverlet.

Watch dogs etc should be kept in a box canon, containing clean soft straw or hay and having placed in a protected spot.

The bedding should be changed at least once a week

Washing / Cleaning / Batching Sponging

The skin should be kept free from dirt, vermin by being well brushed every morning.

You should not bath a dog before it has been vaccinated or far a week after ward because it could get serious infection.

Frequency of washing depends on how dirty the dog get and according to weather. But on average a dog should bath every 2 – 3 weeks.

Dog shampoo and soap should be free from carbolic acid and sodium chloride and water should be too hot.

The best way is to rub the yolk of one , two or more eggs according to the dog size, into hair with the aid of water, rubbing on and all over till there is thick lather, and pour over him sufficient clean, lukewarm water to remove all dirt and lather. This is much better than the soaps ordinarily used.

Many people even used a hair dryer and this is particularly useful for a dog with long hairy ears.

AS soaps and water do not clean fleas and ticks, an insecticide rinse may be necessary but puppies under three months should never have an insecticide rinse.

Fleas and ticks collar should never be used on dog under four months. Some time this collar may create dermatitis.

Grooming / Brushing / Combing

Dog is kept clean with daily brushing and grooming, he becomes a new and a pleasure to have around the house.

By this over come a ragged coated hair, tick, fleas and smelly substance and minimized the nuisance around the house.

Brushing of coerce not only makes the dog look pleasant and more presentable, but removes dust, dirt and scurf from the coat and stimulate the skin and muscles. Keeping the supple and encouraging healthy hair to grow.

Adult dog change there coats once a year as the weather warm. The process takes about 6 weeks.

Use a fine toothed mated comb or a pluck the hair coat with fingers and thumb when it is loosed enough to do so without hurting the animal.

The first puppy coat is soft, often wooly and is different from the second or after coat which is more dark, shiny and thick.

Good habits

The cleanliness on the part of house dogs is an important habit to acquire and one that can be readily taught. When a animal misconducts himself, scold him & turn out for a short period. By this connecting a punishment with a offensive act, he will soon understand what not to do. Of course frequent opportunities should be allowed in the cource of the day for dog to relieve himself.

The daily house training shouting routine begins early in the morning as soon as you get up put the puppy outside in the garden and stay with him until he has performed, when he should be rewarded with the word “Good Boy” and “Smile”. Repeat this process every few hours especially after meals. If he dose have an accident don’t let your own irritation take charge and smack him, just say “Bad Boy” and take him out saying “Garden”. By this method a puppy will become house trained within a very short time.

Exercise

Outdoor exercise for at least an hour daily is essential for the health of the dogs. Many of his diseases arise from want of exercise, with or without the help of error in dieting.

After exercise when you take dog inside house check his paws for ticks, etc.
